Rules
By booking to camp at Camp BEL, all campers agree to abide by the following rules.
Remember: These are all common sense. Have a great and safe time.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Scouts Canada's Bylaws, Policies & Procedures as well as any public releases are to be followed at all times.
- Contact people listed on Rental Contact are responsible for the members of their group while at Camp BEL and must be at least 18 years old.
- All non Scouting groups are required to be approved by the local Council Executive Director before rental can be confirmed and must provide a copy of the Scouts Canada's Organizational Hold-Harmless and Indemnity Agreement and a Certificate of Insurance valid for the period our property is being utilized. Scouts Canada must be listed as additionally insured and all applicable clauses are greater than two-million dollars ($2,000,000.00).
- The telephone in the main building, is for emergency use ONLY. Any long distance will be billed to your group.
- All motorized vehicles should be parked in the designated parking areas.
- Only authorized Camp BEL personnel are permitted to operate any camp motorized equipment.
- Everyone will enter the camp using the entrance on East side of property, unless instructed otherwise.
- The Contact person will be responsible for reporting any damage to the property.
- All equipment used or rented will be returned to where it was found.
- All facilities and equipment must only to be used for their proper intent.
- Do not trespass on private property, our boundaries are clearly marked.
- Prior approval is required before use of fireworks.
- Fires are required to be in a Fire Ring.
- You are responsible for leaving the buildings locked and cleaned. You are responsible for any theft or damage due to your failure to secure the buildings and grounds.
- Unless invited, do not enter or pass through occupied camp areas.
- Annual Bookings, if requested by email, we will automatically hold certain dates for your group as an annual booking. This is provided the requested dates do not coincide with any of the Dorchester Scouting annual bookings. When you have requested an annual booking, you will be required to pay the deposit for the following year's booking at the time of paying this year's invoice. Also, the full Cancellation policy (listed below) is still applicable.

CANCELLATION POLICY
- The deposit is Non-Refundable.
- If request to cancel is received between 15 and 30 days before the first day of the rental, the renter will forfeit the deposit paid and if no deposit was received than the renter will be liable for the full deposit amount.
- If request to cancel is received 14 days or less before the first day of the rental, than the renter will be liable for the full amount quoted less any adventure fees etc.
