Camp BEL is located in the town of Dorchester, Ontario, Canada. The camp is about 53 acres of forest and fields located adjacent to the Thames River. We are operated by the 1st Dorchester Scouting group which is sponsored by St. Peter's Anglican Church, Dorchester.
Camp BEL has both open fields and forested camp sites, for all season use. With all of our field space there will always be enough room to run any and all activities that you wish. The main building has two large halls, a fully equipped kitchen, a 30 person bunk house, washrooms and showers.
On the grounds there is; a rappel tower, a pavilion, various obstacle courses, and an outdoor Chapel.
There are numerous craft stations available such as wood working, leather work, silk screening and bead work. Bicycles and canoes are also available. Although the property is primarily for youth participation, the facility can also work great for church, school, training or cadets gatherings. The facility is wheelchair accessible.
